Last week, there were important change announcements regarding site collection admin audit logs in SharePoint Online and the discontinuation of support for Session Border Controllers in Exchange Online Unified Messaging. An introduction to eDiscovery in Microsoft Teams and improvements to the column creation experience in modern SharePoint lists and libraries round out the Blog Roundup section.

SharePoint is the focus of last week's noteworthy items with the "SharePoint: Inform and Engage Your Employees" webinar available on-demand, as well as a comprehensive summary of the July 13th panel webinar with Shire to discuss best practices for planning and building a modern digital intranet workspace using SharePoint and Office 365. SharePoint Online Site Collection Admin Audit Log Changes

Site Collection Admin Audit Logging enables administrators to keep a reliable log of what is happening with important content on a site collection. Administrators are able to retrieve the entire history of actions taken by a particular user and can also retrieve the entire history of actions taken during a particular date range. For example, site administrators can use auditing to track how documents and items are used throughout a site collection. Beginning July 24th, 2017 for First Release enabled Office 365 Tenants, we will be making changes to the SharePoint Online Site Collection Administration Audit Log feature by enforcing a 90-day retention period. Customers who used this feature previously will be automatically updated to the new retention policy and settings. New customers who subscribed to Office 365 after this change will be forced to use the 90-day retention period. Customers can either accept the default of 90 days or input a smaller number of days. Important: This change does not impact the Unified Auditing experience from the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center.

Creating new column types in modern SharePoint lists and libraries

As we continue to improve custom experiences in modern SharePoint, we are pleased to announce improvement to the column creation experience in modern SharePoint lists and libraries. In addition, to creating columns in the setting page for a list or a library, users will be able to create and customize the following additional column types by clicking the plus (+) sign after the rightmost column on modern list or library views - Choice, Hyperlink, Picture, Single line of text, and Multiple lines of text. Administrators can choose to remain in classic mode in advance of the rollout by implementing the steps in this support article. We expect to start the rollout of this feature around July 25, 2017.

eDiscovery and Content Search in Microsoft Teams

When a new Team in Microsoft Teams is created, it automatically creates an Office 365 Group and because Office 365 Groups exist within Office 365, they can be subject to Security and Compliance policies in Office 365. In addition, content posted in Microsoft Teams can also be subject to these policies and enables organizations to perform Content Search and eDiscovery on this stored content. This article will walk an administrator through how to perform this task. Disclaimer: This article is not an extensive nor exhaustive "how to" for eDiscovery in Office 365. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the simplicity of performing eDiscovery on Microsoft Teams content, but we will not go in-depth into the process.

Discontinuation of support for Session Border Controllers in Exchange Online Unified Messaging

In July 2018, we will no longer support the use of Session Border Controllers (SBC) to connect 3rd Party PBX systems to Exchange Online Unified Messaging (UM). We’re making this change to provide a higher quality of service for voicemail, using standard Exchange and Skype for Business protocols. Customers considering a new deployment of this scenario should be aware that they will have a little less than a year to complete one of the migrations below. Customers with existing deployments remain fully supported until July 2018, including moving voicemail-enabled mailboxes from Exchange on-premises and voicemail-enabling new mailboxes. Although only a small number of customers are affected by this change, we know that planning for changes to voice platforms requires time to evaluate options, and to implement the selected option. We encourage you to start this process soon.

Best practices for a planning and building a modern digital intranet workspace using SharePoint and Office 365

On July 13th, Microsoft held a panel webinar with their customer, Shire – a recognized leader in rare diseases, along with numerous Office 365 MVPs. Shire provided details on how they planned, built and use their beautiful and engaging digital workspace – The Hub – to help inform and engage everyone throughout the company in a consistent, sustainable way. The panelists highlighted the importance of governance throughout the project, described numerous business cases, and covered the use of innovations including SharePoint communication sites, leveraging the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), multi-column page support, new web parts and page capabilities – all used to create rich and compelling sites to achieve their desired outcomes. This post includes both the full, on-demand webinar video (a fun, informative 60 minutes), plus expanded written thoughts across some of the top-level items covered, with links provided by our MVPs to additional materials for further learning.

In a mobile and cloud world a lot of apps want to know who you are - better: what your [currently used] identity is.

For that there are two options for an app developer: 1. do it yourself [bad user experience, registering, password, no SSO, etc] 2. using a public cloud authentication mechanism like Azure Active Directory (AzuerAD or AAD).

As nowadays more and more users have an Office 365 account - and with that an AAD Identity - it is an obvious idea to authenticate against AAD esp. in an enterprise context even with (LOB) apps.

But there is (at least) one thing to have in mind when you have to authenticate against AAD:

AAD is expecting that you give your "User Principle Name" (UPN, sometimes named as "your alias") and your password [+Multifactor Authentication if enabled and requested] into the auth process.

BUT (!) there might be an obstacle. Dependent of how you or your IT organization has set up AAD you might get confused. I will share an example here:

There is a great service called "Sociabble" which we use to expand our social marketing attempts through our employees [the "get" for the employee is to enrich their social accounts so it's a win (Microsoft)-win (employee) -win (reader)].
For using Sociabble you have to register your email address and authenticate e.g. against AAD [and other options available, we are using AAD].

And you probably see the issue already: it is easy to mix the registered email address and the UPN up.

E.g. there is a user called Maxi Mustermann. Her email address is maxi.mustermann@contoso.com and her UPN mamu@contoso.com.

Now Maxi has to know when and where to enter maxi.mustermann@contoso.com and when and where mamu@contoso.com, for Sociabble that means:

In the Sociabble logon screen you are asked for your (registered) email:

And in the following AAD logon screen you have to enter your UPN/alias:

So there is a huge likelihood that users mix this up! [Raised support cases, unhappy users, confusion, etc]

Therefor it is recommended that you have UPN===email address! See Prepare to provision users through directory synchronization to Office 365
(it's also easier for Skype for Business usage!)

Introduction: StaffHub is a remarkable new tool from Microsoft that enables organizations to effectively manage their firstline workers and enable them to have a collaborative experience to achieve more in their jobs. A firstline worker can be a nurse, barista, retail worker, manufacturing worker, hospitality worker, service technician, etc. The purpose of this blog post is to walk you through initial setup and configuration of StaffHub in your Office 365 tenant to get started using the service. For a great overview of StaffHub, I recommend watching the below video:

Step 1: Enable StaffHub on the Office 365 Tenant:

Browse to www.portal.office.com and click on the Admin button.

On the left side, expand Settings and click Services & Add-ins:

Scroll the page, and click StaffHub:

On the flyout on the right side click Update StaffHub settings for your organization:

Ensure Enable Microsoft StaffHub is set to On. Optional: Check the box Apply License Check to force StaffHub users to have a license before using it. More information can be found here: Assign Microsoft StaffHub licenses.

Note: Settings will automatically be saved.

Optional: Self Provision Accounts is useful if your firstline employees that will use StaffHub do not have identities in Azure Active Directory. Enabling this option, will automatically create an identity in Azure Active Directory for the employee when they are added to StaffHub, and, it will also add them to a security group titled DesklessWorkers. For purposes of this blog, I will enable this option.

Today's tip...

When you deploy Remote Desktop Services into your environment, it becomes a critical part of your infrastructure, particularly the apps and resources that you share with users. If the RDS deployment goes down due to anything from a network failure to a natural disaster, users can't access those apps and resources, and your business is negatively impacted. To avoid this, you can configure a disaster recovery solution that allows you to failover your deployment - if your RDS deployment is unavailable, for whatever reason, there is a backup available to automatically take over.

To keep your RDS deployment running in the case of a single component or machine going down, we recommend configuring your RDS deployment for high availability. You can do this by setting up an RDSH farm and ensuring your Connection Brokers are clustered for high availability.

The disaster recovery solutions we recommend here are to protect your deployment from catastrophic disaster - something that takes down your entire RDS deployment (including redundant roles configured for high availability). If such a disaster hits, having a disaster recovery solution built into your deployment will allow you to failover the entire deployment and quickly get apps and resources up and running for your users.

Use the following information to deploy disaster recovery solutions in RDS:

• Leverage multiple Azure data centers to ensure users can access your RDS deployment, even if one Azure data center goes down (geo-redundancy)
  • Create a geo-redundant RDS deployment
• Deploy Azure Site Recovery to provide failover for RDS components in site-to-site or site-to-Azure failovers
  • Set up Azure Site Recovery for RDS
  • Enable disaster recovery for RDS components
  • Create your disaster recovery plan

Introduction:

In the last post StaffHub: Overview, Initial Setup & Configuration, I discussed how to setup StaffHub. This is part of a multi-part blog on how getting started with StaffHub.

In this post we will explore how to do the following:

• Login to the StaffHub web application
• Create a team
• Configure the team
• Add members to the team

Login to the StaffHub Web Application:

Open a new web browser, and browse to http://staffhub.ms. In the upper right corner of the page, click the button Sign On

Once signed in, on the welcome screen click Begin Setup:

Create your Team

On the Name your team page, in the Team Name field, give the team a name and click Create Team

On Confirm your team's time zone page select the appropriate time zone your team operates in and closest city. Then read the disclaimer on future time zone changes check the confirm box. Then click Continue

Optional: On the get the mobile app page, type in your mobile telephone number and click Send Link to get a SMS message of the link to the StaffHub app to download. If you would like to download the app later, you can always search for it in your mobile application store, click Skip for now to proceed to the next page.

On the Who's on your team page, type in the name of an employee on the team. For example purposes I will enter myself. If the user has a work email address, add it here, otherwise type in their mobile phone number. This will send them an SMS to download the app, and they will use the phone number later at their first logon. Click Add & Invite after you enter your first employee. When finished click the Finish setup button.

You will now be taken to the team page for StaffHub. I recommend starting the tour to become familiar with the interface. Otherwise click Skip tour

Add Additional Team Members

In the upper right corner of the screen click Team:

From here you can add additional team members:

Configure Additional Team Settings:

In the upper right corner click Settings:

On the Team Settings page is where you can configure additional settings about the team such as the length of the schedule and custom requests:

Summary: You have now successfully created and configured a team in Staff Hub. Proceed to Step 3: Using the App as a firstline employee

Introduction:

When a new team member is added, StaffHub (if configured to do so) will automatically create a new user account and add them to a Security Group called Deskless Workers in Azure Active Directory. However, the user will still need to be assigned a license in order to start using StaffHub. This blog article will walk an IT administrator through the process of using group-based licensing in Azure Active Directory to automatically assign licenses to users that are added to a security group (i.e. DesklessWorkers).

Note: This capability requires Azure Active Directory Premium, and at the time of this writing this capability is in preview functionality.

Background:

Below is an example of what the DesklessWorkers security group in Office 365 looks like. Notice it has one member (Matt Soseman).

Next, I will browse to that user Matt Soseman to show that he currently does not have any licenses assigned:

We now need to ensure that when users are added to the DesklessWorkers security group, they are automatically assigned a license.

Login to Azure

Login to Azure by browsing to http://portal.azure.com , then on the left side click Azure Active Directory

On the Azure Active Directory blade, click Licenses

Click All Products and check the box next to the license you want to assign. Note, this may be the F1 license, or any license SKU that includes StaffHub. For purposes of this blog article, I will be using E5. Then click +Assign

On the Assign License blade click Select users and/or groups

Search for DesklessWorkers and press Enter. Check the box next to DesklessWorkers:

At the bottom of the blade click Select.

Next, click Assignment
Options:

Chose the licenses you wish to assign the user. For purposes of my example, I will leave all licenses to On. However, you may wish to turn all licenses off and only leave Microsoft StaffHub to On. When finished click OK at the bottom.

Back on the Assign License blade click Assign. At this point, whenever a new user is provisioned in StaffHub, the user's account will be automatically added to DesklessWorkers and automatically assigned a license. Browsing back to Matt's user account in the Office 365 Admin Portal I can now see that he has been assigned the E5 license SKU, and notice Microsoft StaffHub is also assigned:

Azure Managed Applications は、マネージド サービス プロバイダー (MSP) や独立系ソフトウェア ベンダー (ISV)、企業本部の IT チームが、Azure Marketplace やサービス カタログを通じてターンキー ソリューションを配信するためのエコシステムを提供するサービスです。このサービスの大きなメリットは、ユーザーの皆様がマネージド アプリケーションを自身のサブスクリプションにデプロイできるようになる一方、メンテナンスや更新、追加のサービスの利用が不要になることです。アプリケーションの管理やサポートはベンダーによって行われるため、ユーザーの皆様はこれまでのようにそのアプリケーション独自の知識を習得しなくて済むようになります。このため、アプリケーションのトラブルシューティングや問題の診断などに気を取られることなく、自動でアプリケーションの更新を取得できます。

また、このサービスはインフラストラクチャやソフトウェアを Azure Marketplace から購入する新しい販売チャネルとなるだけでなく、Azure ユーザーの皆様にサービスを提供したり運用をサポートしたりするための方法としても利用できます。たとえば、ベンダーが Azureの請求システムを使ってお客様に請求を行ったり、デプロイしたアプリケーションのライフサイクル管理をテンプレートを使用して行ったりすることができます。マネージド アプリケーションは自己完結型で、ユーザーからは変更できないようになっているため、ベンダーは高品質のサービスを提供することができます。Azure のこのエコシステムは、PaaS および SaaS のベンダーのみでなく、ソリューションをパッケージ化して再販したいと考える企業本部のプラットフォーム チームやシステム インテグレーターにとってもメリットがあります。

Azure Managed Applications は、サービス カタログ マネージド アプリケーションと Azure Marketplace マネージド アプリケーションの 2 種類で提供されます。

サービス カタログ

サービス カタログを使用すると、Azure で承認されたソリューションのカタログを企業が作成できます。ソリューションのカタログをメンテナンスできることは、企業本部の IT チームにとって特にメリットがあり、企業独自の標準に準拠した最適なソリューションを提供できるようになります。サービス カタログのマネージド アプリケーションは、社内で制御、更新、メンテナンスを行うことができます。そのため、従業員はその企業の IT 部門によって承認された多様なアプリケーションを簡単に見つけて利用することができます。ユーザーには、自社で作成したサービス カタログ マネージド アプリケーション、あるいは社内の他のユーザーが共有したサービス カタログ マネージド アプリケーションのみが表示されます。発行者は、Azure CLI を使用してサービス カタログ マネージド アプリケーションを作成できます。現在、Azure ポータルで可能なのは、発行されたマネージド アプリケーションの使用と作成のみですが、間もなくサービス カタログ マネージド アプリケーションの発行もサポートされる予定です。

Marketplace

もう 1 つのオプションは、Azure Marketplace マネージド アプリケーションです。Azure Marketplace マネージド アプリケーションは、Azure ポータルの Marketplace から入手できます。ベンダーによって発行されるもので、社内および社外のあらゆるユーザーが使用できるため、MSP や ISV、システム インテグレーターがソリューションをすべての Azure ユーザーに提供できます。ユーザーは、詳細な知識を習得したりメンテナンスに投資したりすることなくこのような複雑なソリューションを利用でき、発行者は、発行時にこれらをマネージド アプリケーションとして提供するか、またはソリューション テンプレートで管理対象外の同等品として提供するかを選択できます。

ベンダーは、クラウド パートナー ポータル (英語) からマネージド アプリケーションを Azure Marketplace に発行できます。マネージド アプリケーションを発行する主なコンポーネントには、テンプレート ファイルやUI 定義ファイルがあります。テンプレート ファイルはプロビジョニングされるリソースが記述されたもので、UI 定義ファイルはプロビジョニング時に入力された必要事項をポータルでどのように表示するかが記述されたものです。必要なファイルは zip ファイルにパッケージ化し、発行ポータルからアップロードします。なお、各マネージド アプリケーションのソリューション テンプレートは、それぞれ異なる “SKU Type” プロパティを持ちます。以下のスクリーンショットは、発行ポータルの画面です。

アプリケーションが発行された後は、前提条件のチェックや検証、その他のレビューが実施されます。すべてのチェックに合格すると、アプリケーションが公開され、ユーザーが使用できるようになります。Marketplace マネージド アプリケーションを発行する方法の詳細なガイドについては、こちらのドキュメントをご覧ください。

アプリケーションが公開されると Azure Marketplace で表示され、ユーザーがそのアプリケーションのインスタンスを作成できるようになります。

承認

前述したとおり、ユーザーにプロビジョニングされたアプリケーションの管理はベンダーが行います。アプリケーションをうまく管理できるように、ベンダーは、リソースをプロビジョニングしたユーザーのサブスクリプションのリソース グループへのアクセス許可を持っている必要があります。ベンダーはマネージド アプリケーションを発行する際に、Azure AD ユーザー、ユーザー グループ、またはアプリケーションがリソース グループの特定のアクセス許可を持つことを示すことになります。その場所は、マネージド アプリケーションのデプロイに必要なリソースの場所です。このとき付与されるアクセス許可は、通常、Azure RBAC の組み込みロールです。

また、先にご説明したとおり、マネージド アプリケーションは自己完結型でユーザーが変更することはできないため、リソースがプロビジョニングされるリソース グループは、ユーザーからは「ロック」されます。つまり、ユーザーはこのリソース グループ内のリソースを削除したり変更したりすることはできません。

Azure Stack のメリット

ハイブリッドなユース ケースによりアプリケーションのイノベーションを実現

Azure と Azure Stack により、顧客向けアプリケーションや社内の基幹業務アプリケーションの新しいユース ケースが実現されます。

• 過酷な環境における非接続型ソリューション: レイテンシや接続性の要件に対応するために、Azure Stack を使用してデータをローカルで処理してから、さらなる分析を実行するためにデータを Azure に集約します。この場合、両方の環境で共通のアプリケーション ロジックを使用できます。お客様は、工場の作業現場、クルーズ客船、鉱山の坑道といった過酷な環境でこれを利用することに大きな関心を持っています。

Azure と Azure Stack の共通のエコシステム ソリューション

• マイクロソフトは、Azure に対して認定された ISV のアプリケーションとサービスの大部分を Azure Stack でも動作できるようにすることを目標としています。Bitnami、Docker、Kemp Technologies、Pivotal Cloud Foundry、Red Hat Enterprise Linux、SUSE Linux といった多数の ISV が自社のソリューションを Azure Stack で利用できるように取り組みを進めています。
• Azure Stack は、完全なマネージド サービスとして提供、運用することもできます。Avanade、Daisy、Evry、Rackspace、Tieto といった多数のパートナー様が Azure と Azure Stack で共通のマネージド サービスを提供するための取り組みを進めています。これらのパートナー様は、Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) プログラムを通じて Azure のマネージド サービスを提供してきた実績があり、今後はハイブリッド ソリューションも含めるように拡張されます。
• システム インテグレーター (SI) は、高度な Azure のスキルセット、専門分野や業界の知識、プロセスに関する専門知識 (DevOps など) を提供することで、お客様のアプリケーション刷新の取り組みを促進します。コンサルティング業務を Azure と Azure Stack に拡張している SI の例としては、PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) が挙げられます。

受注が開始された統合システムと無料評価版の単一サーバー キット

Azure Stack には 2 種類のデプロイメント オプションがあります。

• Azure Stack 統合システム: 運用環境での使用を想定したマルチサーバー システムで、迅速に稼働できるように設計されています。ご利用のハードウェアに応じて、Dell EMC (英語)、HPE (英語)、Lenovo (英語) の統合システムを選択できます (今後 Cisco と Huawei からもリリース予定)。これらの認定ハードウェア ソリューション (英語) についてご確認のうえ、ハードウェア パートナー様に連絡して統合システムをご注文いただけます。これらのシステムはすぐに実行可能で、どの担当者に連絡した場合でも一貫したエンドツーエンドのカスタマー サポートが提供されます。当初は、全世界の主要市場を含む 46 か国で提供が開始される予定です。

Today we have released a driver and firmware update for the Surface Pro 4. This update includes new driver and firmware updates for the Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter, Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller, Intel(R) Iris(TM) Graphics 540, Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller, Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED, Surface Accessory Device, Surface Pen Pairing, Surface Integration, Surface Embedded Controller Firmware, Surface Management Engine, and Surface UEFI. These updates improve system stability, Wi-Fi performance when waking from sleep, video and DirectX 12 performance, and enable the Power Slider and Surface Pen simple pairing.

These updates are available in MSI and ZIP format from the Surface Pro 4 Drivers and Firmware page in the Microsoft Download Center. Click Download to download the following files:

Note: In the name of each of these files you will find a Windows build number, this number indicates the minimum supported build required to install the drivers and firmware contained within. For example, to install the drivers contained in SurfacePro4_Win10_14393_1703001.msi, you must have Windows 10 Version 1607, the Anniversary Update, or newer installed on your Surface Pro 4. You can find a list of the build numbers for each version of Windows 10 in Windows 10 release information.

In support, we receive requests from time to time for information on how-to configure SharePoint People search and Delve results so that specific users do not appear in search results. Many admins want to be able to do this without having to delete or move users to a non-synced OU.

The best way to accomplish this is to make the following changes:

In your On-premises AD:

1. Set the profiles AD property msExchHideFromAddressLists  to True or Yes
2. Run a Sync (DirSync etc) which will in turn be synced to SPO(If the change is made in Exchange Online, it will not be synced to SharePoint Online)
3. msExchHideFromAddressLists AD property contents are mapped to the UPA SPS-HideFromAddressLists

Once sync completes to UPA, there will be a profile incremental crawl that needs to complete so that the index has the managed property SPS-HideFromAddressLists.

Delve automatically excludes or filter all profiles that have SPS-HideFromAddressLists managed property set to true so no additional changes/configurations need to be done for Delve. However, the SharePoint people search does not exclude these profiles automatically. The following configuration steps need to be performed to exclude these profiles from appearing in the SharePoint Online People search results:

1. Go to enterprise search people results page: https://contoso.sharepoint.com/search/Pages/peopleresults.aspx
2. Edit Search Results page
3. Edit People Results Web Part
4. Change query
5. Change Query Text from {searchboxquery} to {searchboxquery} -"SPS-HideFromAddressLists":1

NOTE: because of the dash in the managed property name, the managed property SPS-HideFromAddressLists needs to be enclosed in "" (make sure that you are using the correct "" and - otherwise your search results will be incorrect)

6. Apply changes to the Search results Web Part
7. Check-in changes to the Page
8. Publish changes

NOTE: If you have any customization that use the Local People Results, similar changes needs to be implemented to automatically exclude all profiles configured -"SPS-HideFromAddressLists":1 to be excluded from there as well.

Known limitations:

1. This process does not work for cloud accounts.
2. If you want the user to be returned in search you will need to change the msExchHideFromAddressLists value to false or no. If the value is only set to null in most cases it will not be synced down to SharePoint Profile and will continue to be removed from search.

Here I am again about to rebuild my PC.

At this stage of cloud maturity for productivity, most of us will have all of our documents, emails and contacts stored in one kind of cloud service or another. As I try to migrate from the loan PC to the permanent PC I notice I’ve been my usual sloppy self, and there are plenty of documents on the Desktop, and in the My Documents folder. Those are easy enough to clean up, but then I come to my C:code folder and realise there are a number of things in there that are about to be lost. 

It’s not that using source control is particularly hard, but it’s a discipline that needs to be practiced not only to protect assets worked on, but in my role to create a repository where I can easily share what I’ve been talking about with people I work with.

For a number of reasons, but mostly familiarity, I’m going to use GitHub. Creating a repository is incredibly simple, which means I’m up and running almost immediately. And as per above, I’m going to be making my repository public so that I can share what I’m working on with anyone who’s interested. Naturally the other key benefit is people can contribute as well.

Very important is to consider the license being used. For this repository which is going to store the code from my last post, I’m using the MIT license. MIT allows reuse of my code in most other licenses including GPL. There’s nothing secret in what the code does, and it can only be beneficial as an enabler to people who want to accelerate the setup of Open Live Writer, so an MIT license makes perfect sense. It’s something that does need to be understood though – there are many types of license available and the appropriate one for each type of code or project should be carefully considered.

After clicking Create Repository, I have my empty repository ready to be used.

Now I need to add my file(s). For what I have here, it’s really simple to just add them using the upload files button.

and now it’s available and safely in source control for the next time I need it.

It’s a really basic thing to do, and something that’s well understood and managed in a software developer’s day, but something I often forget until it’s too late. I’ll be trying to make this a good habit to form.

Dv3、Ev3、B シリーズの仮想マシン ファミリを新たに導入

Dv3、Ev3、B シリーズの 3 つの仮想マシン ファミリが新たにリリースされ、コンピューティング能力のオプションが拡張されました。これにより、ビジネス ニーズに適した仮想マシンをさらに細かく選べるようになります。SKU 構成、提供リージョン、料金の詳細については、Azure Virtual Machine の料金ページを参照してください。

新しいハイパースレッディング対応仮想マシン (Dv3、Ev3) の一般提供を開始

新世代の仮想マシンとして、Dv3 と Ev3 の 2 つのファミリが追加されます。Ev3 ファミリの最大サイズの VM には、Intel® Broadwell E5-2673 v4 2.3 プロセッサの vCPU 64 個と 432 GiB のメモリが搭載されます。

• Dv3: ハイパースレッド テクノロジが採用された新世代の汎用仮想マシンです。
• Ev3: ハイパースレッド テクノロジが採用され、メモリ負荷が大きいワークロードに最適化された、新しいファミリ名を持つ新世代の仮想マシンです。

バーストへの対応が可能な仮想マシン (B シリーズ) のプレビュー

新しい仮想マシン ファミリである B シリーズのプレビューが発表されました。このシリーズは、通常時の CPU パフォーマンスは低～中程度で、需要が増大した時には高い CPU パフォーマンスが必要となるワークロード向けの低価格オプションです。開発用やテスト用のサーバー、トラフィックが少ない Web サーバー、小規模なデータベース、マイクロサービス、ビルド サーバー、コード リポジトリなど、常に CPU を激しく使用する必要はないもののタスク実行時にバーストが発生するようなアプリに最適です。

Azure Backup: Power BI でレポートの生成が可能に

Azure Backup で Power BI を使用してバックアップ データのレポートを生成できるようになりました。これにより、バックアップ データの内容をより深く理解し、コンプライアンスも維持しやすくなりました。生成したレポートでは、ストレージの使用状況、ジョブの正常性、アラートなどのメトリックを把握できます。Azure Backup で Power BI を使用する方法については、こちらのブログ記事 (英語) を参照してください。

Azure Site Recovery: Linux のサポートと構成オプションを拡張

Azure Site Recovery で構成オプションと Linux OS のサポートが拡張されました。これにより、移行がさらに簡単になったほか、ビジネス継続性ソリューションからあらゆるアプリケーションにアクセスできるようになりました。記憶域スペース ダイレクトを使用する Azure IaaS マシンが、マイクロソフトの災害復旧サービスでサポートされるようになりました。記憶域スペース ダイレクトは Windows Server 2016 の仮想化テクノロジであり、ディスクをストレージ プールにグループ化するものです。これにより、パフォーマンスが向上し、さらに大容量のディスクにも対応できるようになりました。また、柔軟性を向上させるために、VMware 仮想化インフラストラクチャまたは Azure 仮想マシンで実行される Linux OS の Ubuntu にもサポートを拡張しました。詳細については、こちらのブログ記事 (英語) を参照してください。

Windows Server と System Center で継続してイノベーションを提供: Semi Annual チャネルの導入

2017 年 6 月 15 日、Windows Server と System Center をこれまでよりも高い頻度で配信する新しいリリース モデルの詳細を発表しました。このモデルは、イノベーションをいち早く導入し、新機能をすぐに利用できるようになりたいというお客様の強いご要望をもとに実現しました。

このリリース モデルの主な概要は以下のとおりです。

• Windows と Office の Semi Annual チャネル リリース サイクルに合わせ、機能リリースを年 2 回配信します。Windows Server の機能リリースを 6 か月ごとに変更し、前期と後期の 2回になります。機能リリースは累積的なものとなり、前回リリースに新機能を追加したものになります。
• ソフトウェア アシュアランスに加入しているお客様にご利用いただけます。また、Azure イメージやその他のクラウド/ホスティング環境でもご利用いただけます。初回プレビューはこの夏に Windows Insider Program を通じて提供されます。また、最初の機能リリースは 2017 年内に配信される予定です。
• System Center にも Semi Annual リリースが適用され、Windows Server の新機能の管理に使用できるようになります。

長期にわたる安定性や予測可能性が求められるデプロイメントでは、今後も Windows Server 2016 がベストな選択肢となります。Windows Server 2016 は Long Term Servicing チャネル (LTSC) から提供される最新リリースで、10 年のサポート期間 (Premium Assurance の場合は最大 16 年) が保証されます。

来年から、System Center のリリース サイクルがさらにスピードアップします。これは、コンポーネントへのニーズが高いお客様のご要望に応えて実現したものです。リリース頻度は、Windows Server の Semi Annual チャネルに合わせて、年 2 回となります。テクニカル プレビューのリリースは 2017 年内、運用環境向けの初回リリースは 2018 年早々に予定しており、その後は約 6 か月おきにリリースされます。このリリースの対象は、ソフトウェア アシュアランスにご加入の System Center ユーザーの皆様です。なお、サーバー、PC、モバイル デバイス向けの最新の管理機能を提供する System Center Configuration Manager は、これまでと変わらず年 3 回のリリース サイクルとなります。詳細についてはこちらのブログ記事 (英語) を参照してください。

Azure Traffic Manager で Fast Failover の一般提供を開始

異常が発生したエンドポイントからよりすばやくユーザーをリダイレクトできるようになりました。具体的なメリットは以下のとおりです。

• Traffic Manager でエンドポイントの正常性を確認する間隔を、現在の 30 秒よりも短い 10 秒に設定できるようになりました。
• 連続でエラーが発生するとエンドポイントで異常が発生したと判断されますが、この個数を 1 ～ 10 の間で設定できるようになりました。
• プローブの試行のタイムアウト間隔を構成できるようになりました (プローブ間隔が 10 秒の場合は 5 ～ 9 秒、プローブ間隔が 30 秒の場合は 5 ～ 10 秒)。
• 有効期限 (TTL) の応答時間をゼロに設定できるようになりました。

上記の設定を組み合わせて使用すると、パフォーマンスが低下しているエンドポイントから Azure Traffic Manager でトラフィックを転送する時間を従来の 10 分の 1 に短縮できます。

Azure エンドポイントの正常性チェックの場合はエンドポイント 1 つあたり 1 ドル/月の追加料金、外部エンドポイントの正常性チェックの場合はエンドポイント 1 つあたり 2 ドル/月の追加料金でご利用いただけます。

Azure Traffic Manager で TCP プローブの一般提供を開始

Azure Traffic Manager で、TCP 接続要求への応答をリッスンしてエンドポイントの正常性を判断できるようになりました。

この新機能を使用すると、データベース バックエンドなどの HTTP の正常性チェックに応答できないエンドポイントを Traffic Manager プロファイルに追加できます。また、オーバーヘッドが小さいプローブ方法を選択して、Azure エンドポイントのリソース使用量を削減することができます。

この機能は追加料金なしでご利用いただけます。Fast Failover と TCP プローブは、ポータル、PowerShell、コマンド ライン インターフェイス、REST API/SDK から設定できます。

Azure HDInsight で Microsoft R Server 9.1 の一般提供を開始

Azure HDInsight で、ディープ ラーニング用ニューラル ネットワークや事前にトレーニングされたセンチメント分析、Image Featurizer モデルといった、Microsoft R Server 9.1 (Spark 2.1 上で実行) の最新機能の一般提供が開始されました。R Server 9.1 の詳細については、こちらの TechNet ブログ (英語) を参照してください。

強化された適応型クエリ処理の一般提供を開始

適応型クエリ処理機能に、バッチ モード メモリ許可フィードバック (英語)、バッチ モード適応型結合 (英語)、インターリーブ実行 (英語) の 3 つの機能強化が実装されました。バッチ モード メモリ許可フィードバックでは、メモリ使用量が多すぎるまたは少なすぎる要求のクエリの反復処理のパフォーマンスを向上させることができます。バッチ モード適応型結合は新しいクエリ演算子の種類で、ランタイムの行数に応じて最適な結合アルゴリズムを動的に選択できます。インターリーブ実行では、クエリを最適化する際に使用する関数呼び出しの行数に基づいて、マルチステートメント テーブル値関数を参照するクエリのパフォーマンスを向上させることができます。

Azure SQL データ同期が Azure ポータルで使用可能に

新しい Azure ポータルで Azure データ同期を使用できるようになりました。Azure データ同期は Microsoft Sync Framework テクノロジを基盤として構築されたクラウド ベースのサービスで、一方向または双方向のデータ同期機能とデータ管理機能が提供されます。このため、複数のデータセンター、またはオンプレミスの SQL Server データベースと Azure SQL Database 間で SQL データベースのデータを簡単に共有できます。詳細についてはこちらの Azure ブログを参照してください。

Azure SQL Database でのグラフ データベースのサポートをプレビュー提供

データの量が増え続け、その扱いが複雑化している今日では、複雑に絡み合うデータ間の関係性を解決するために、スキーマやクエリの設計を最適化することが求められています。グラフ データベースを利用すれば、ノードと関係性の構造を簡素化してリンク型の構造にすることができるため、複雑なモデリングに対応できるようになります。このたび Azure SQL Database で完全統合のグラフ データベース拡張機能がリリースされ、グラフ オブジェクトを使用してグラフ スキーマを定義できるようになりました。また、T-SQL 言語拡張機能を使用すれば、パターン検出やマルチホップ ナビゲーションの使用が可能です。グラフ データベースのサポートの詳細については、こちらの TechNet ブログ (英語) を参照してください。

多数のご要望が寄せられていた Power BI Desktop の新機能がビジネス アナリストの皆様向けにリリースされました。

• レポート: 新しいテーブルおよび行列のデータ バー (プレビュー)、線や領域、複合グラフのマーカー、アクセス可能なレポートなど
• データ接続: SAP BW コネクタでの DirectQuery のサポート (プレビュー)、Amazon Redshift コネクタの一般提供、カスタム データ コネクタのサポートなど
• クエリ編集: 「例から列を追加する」機能の強化

Azure Event Hubs Capture の一般提供を開始

Azure Event Hubs の Capture 機能の一般提供が開始されました。これは Archive としてプレビューがリリースされた Event Hubs の主要機能で、効率的なマイクロバッチ処理や長期間のデータ アーカイブを行うことができます。

Capture を使用すると、コードを作成したり他のコンピューティング サービスを構成したりすることなく、データを Event Hubs から永続ストレージに送信できます。主な機能は以下のとおりです。

• セットアップが簡単: Event Hubs Capture はわずか数クリックで構成できます。
• 総所有コストを削減: Event Hubs ですべてを管理できるため、セットアップやカスタム ジョブの処理メカニズムの追跡に関するオーバーヘッドを最小限に抑えることができます。
• 保存先として最新のストレージをサポート: Azure Storage アカウントを選択するだけで Capture が自動的にデータをコンテナーにプルします (近いうちに Azure Data Lake Store にも対応)。
• ほぼリアルタイムの一括分析: イベント データは、Event Hubs に取り込まれてから数分以内に使用できます。このため、データ パイプラインを別途構築しなくても、ほぼリアルタイムの分析を行う一般的なシナリオに対応できます。

料金 | Logic Apps の Web ページ

Azure Logic Apps で重要な新機能がリリースされました。この更新によって、より高度で幅広い Logic Apps の機能をご利用いただけるようになります。提供される機能は以下のとおりです。

• BizTalk Server コネクタ: BizTalk コネクタの一般提供が開始され、Logic Apps ワークフローを BizTalk Server と簡単に統合できるようになりました。この機能は、既存のエンタープライズ アプリケーションと、SaaS アプリケーションやクラウド ベースのビジネス ロジックおよび処理とを接続したいと考えるお客様にとって重要なものです。
• 式の作成: Logic App で式を作成する新しい手法で、式を簡単に作成できるようになりました。
• メッセージの一括処理: 現在プレビューとして提供されているこの機能では、ユーザーが指定したしきい値に達した場合に、メッセージをグループ化したり、1 つのファイルとして送信したりすることができます。

Ping Identity とマイクロソフトは、PingAccess for Azure AD の一般提供開始を発表しました。この機能を使用することで、VPN を使用しなくても Application Proxy でさまざまなオンプレミス アプリケーションに安全にリモート アクセスできるようになります。

Application Proxy を使用すると、オンプレミス Web アプリケーションに安全にリモート アクセスできますが、従来型のアプリやカスタムのオンプレミス アプリの一部、特にアプリが標準に準拠していない場合には困難なことがあります。Ping Identity は、標準に準拠しているかどうかにかかわらず、さまざまな種類のオンプレミス Web アプリケーションでシングル サインオン (SSO) とリモート アクセスを実現する PingAccess を開発しました。

今回、Application Proxy と PingAccess が統合されたことにより、さらに多くのオンプレミス Web アプリケーションに SSO でアクセスできるようになります。これにより、さまざまなデバイスやクラウドを使用するすべてのユーザーが、あらゆるアプリケーションに対して安全かつシームレスにシングル サインオンできるようになります。

Azure AD Premium をご利用のお客様は、追加コストなしで最大 20 種類のアプリに接続できます。なお、20 種類を超える場合は、PingAccess の完全なライセンスを購入していただく必要があります。

本日のイベントでは、マイクロソフトのイノベーションに関する最新情報と、マイクロソフトのパートナーおよびお客様がグローバル リーチを広げるために活用できるいくつかの情報について発表がありました。いずれも他のクラウド ベンダーにはない、マイクロソフトならではのものです。

マイクロソフトのクラウドでパートナー様のビジネス チャンスを拡大

昨年、Azure でソリューションを構築しているパートナー様の販売やマーケティングを包括的に支援する Microsoft Azure 共同販売プログラムが開始されました。これまで業界になかったタイプのプログラムで、パートナー様を支援するマイクロソフトのすべての営業担当者に適用されます。このプログラムによる年間契約額は最初の 6 か月間で 1 億ドルに達し、新たに創出された Azure パートナー様のパイプラインの機会は 6 億ドル、パートナー様の成約数は 4,500 件に達しました。

こうした多大なメリットをパートナー様に提供できるグローバルなパブリック クラウドは、Azure だけです。マイクロソフトの営業担当者は、対象となる Azure ベースのパートナー ソリューションの販売を支援した場合に、パートナー様の年間契約額の最大 10% に相当するインセンティブを受け取ることができます。つまり、マイクロソフトの営業担当者は Azure のパートナー様が新しいビジネスを獲得することで報酬を得られ、パートナー様は世界中のマイクロソフトの営業担当者とコミュニケーションを図りながらビジネスを成長させることができます。

Azure 共同販売プログラムの効果をさらに引き出すために、マイクロソフトでは今後 12 か月間でさらに大きな投資を行うことを予定しています。また、マイクロソフト内で専門のチャネル マネージャーを用意し、彼らがパートナー様の市場開拓とパートナー様のソリューションを新規のお客様に提供するための支援を行うほか、共同販売プログラムとの統合を行う役割を担います。新しい共同販売のインセンティブとパートナー様のビジネス成長を支援するための投資を合計すると、2 億 5,000 万ドル超となります。

また、お客様の既存のビジネス アプリケーションの刷新や新規のアプリケーションの構築をより簡単にするために、ISV Cloud Embed というパートナー様向けの新しいプログラムをご用意しました。このプログラムをご利用いただくと、パートナー様は Dynamics 365、Power BI、Power Apps、Microsoft Flow を組み込み型の「コンポーネント」として最大 50% 引きでご購入いただけます。また、Azure でアプリを構築しているパートナー様は、これらのビジネス アプリケーション機能を使用して、営業支援、サービス ライン、運用バックエンドといった機能を独自のソリューションにすばやく追加することができます。このようにマイクロソフトのエンジニアリング リソースを利用することで、開発に要する時間とコストを削減することができます。また、市場開拓のサポートを受けられるほか、Microsoft AppSource を通じて 1 億人の商用アクティブ ユーザーを持つ Office 365 のコミュニティや成長を続ける Dynamic 365 ユーザーのコミュニティにアクセスすることもできます。

また、マイクロソフトは Azure Managed Applications のプレビュー (英語) を発表しました。パートナー様は、Azure Managed Applications を通じて Azure Marketplace からマネージド ソリューションをご利用いただけます。このサービスは、インフラストラクチャやソフトウェアを Azure Marketplace から購入するための販売チャネルとして機能するだけでなく、パートナー様が Azure ユーザーにサービスを提供したりユーザーの運用をサポートしたりするための手段としても利用できます。マネージド アプリケーションを利用することで、ユーザーの皆様はアプリケーションの取得やデプロイメントのプロセスを合理化できると同時に、ソリューションの管理や運用をパートナー様にアウトソーシングできるというメリットがあります。

マイクロソフトは、Azure での開発、業界最先端の共同販売プログラム、新たな組み込み型ビジネス アプリケーション サービスといったさまざまな形でパートナー様のビジネスを支援しています。これほど包括的なアプローチを提供している企業は、マイクロソフトのほかにありません。

ハードウェア パートナー様を通じて Azure Stack の受注が可能に

Azure Stack は Azure の拡張機能で、Azure データセンターから真に一貫性のある形でハイブリッド クラウド プラットフォームを利用できるようにします。たとえば、鉱山の坑道や工場、クルーズ客船などの一般的ではない環境でもご利用いただけます。マイクロソフトは、提携している Dell EMC (英語)、HPE (英語)、Lenovo (英語) 各社と共に、Microsoft Azure Stack 統合システムの受注を開始 (英語) したことを発表しました。マイクロソフトは Azure Stack ソフトウェアをハードウェア パートナー様に提供し、パートナー様によって統合されたシステムに対して認定プロセスを実施します。このシステムの最初の提供は 9 月を予定しています。Saxo Bank や三井情報株式会社を始めとするお客様は、Azure Stack を戦略に統合し、クラウドとオンプレミスにまたがる最先端のアプリケーションを構築しています。

その他の発表内容

Azure SQL Data Warehouse (英語) のコンピューティング能力のスケーリング上限が 3 倍に引き上げられ、6,000 DWU から 18,000 DWU になりました。これにより、データ中心型アプリケーションのイノベーションをさらに迅速化できます。あらゆる企業でデジタル化が進み、ペタバイト規模のストレージが必要とされることが多くなってきましたが、この規模ではデータの格納とクエリが非常に大きな負荷となり、企業での AI の導入が進むについて管理が複雑化していきます。この場合、コンピューティングとストレージを分離することによってパフォーマンスを最大化でき、モバイル、IoT、AI などの最先端ソリューションに適したデータ ウェアハウスを構築できるようになります。今回の機能拡張により、パートナー様やお客様がペタバイト規模のストレージやクエリを利用できるようになります。

EU の一般データ保護規則 (GDPR) の施行に伴い、お客様には新たなコンプライアンス要件に準拠していただくことが必要になります。Microsoft トラスト センター (英語) では既にこれに関連するリソースを提供していますが、加えて、今回新たに 2 つの GDPR 評価ツールを追加しました。このインタラクティブな GDPR 評価ツール (英語) はあらゆる民間企業や組織にご利用いただけるもので、現在の状態が GDPR に適合しているかを評価することができます。また、マイクロソフトの大規模なパートナー ネットワークでは、詳細な評価ツールもリリースされます。このツールでは、GDPR への準拠を支援するマイクロソフト製品に関する適切なガイドや詳細な推奨事項が提示されます。GDPR でのビジネス チャンスに関する詳細については、こちらのマイクロソフト パートナー ネットワーク ブログ (英語) をご覧ください。

月額課金方式でマイクロソフトのクラウド サービスを取り扱える CSP プログラム。そのパートナーとして活動しているクラウド リセラーが、どのようにクラウド ビジネスに取り組み、いかなる成果を上げているのか、興味を持たれている方も多いのではないでしょうか。そこで、クラウド ディストリビューターであるダイワボウ情報システム株式会社 (DIS) に複数の CSP パートナーをご紹介いただき、インタビューを行いました。今回ご登場いただくのは、株式会社アイシーソフト (以下、アイシーソフト)。取締役 クラウドビジネス本部長である吉田 健三 氏と、クラウドビジネス本部 営業マネージャーの橋澤 聡 氏に、お話をお聞きしました。

会社概要と Microsoft Office 365 ビジネス開始の経緯

――　まず御社の概要についてお教えください。

吉田　当社は「技術者が思う存分力を発揮できる会社をつくりたい」という想いを持つコンピューター技術者が集まり、2004 年に設立された会社です。設立以来、企業の受託システム開発を中心にビジネスを行ってきました。長年の経験を体系化し、得意分野に重点的に資源を配置することにより、近年ではコストを抑えた付加価値の高いサービスやシステムを提供できる、情報開発企業になっています。またユーザーが気付かなかったニーズを掘り起こす、コミュニケーション力の高い「わかる SE」の人材教育にも力を入れています。

――　Office 365 の取り扱いを始めたのはいつごろからですか。

吉田　2014 年 4 月に東京事務所を現在の場所に移転したタイミングで、マイクロソフト関連のビジネスを本格化し、Office 365 の取り扱いも開始しました。実はそれまで、マイクロソフト製品は扱っていませんでした。

――　なぜ Office 365 を扱うようになったのでしょうか。

吉田　私が当社に入社したことが、マイクロソフト ビジネスを本格化する契機になりました。私は富士ソフト株式会社に 20 年以上勤めた後、2014 年 3 月にアイシーソフトに入社したのですが、以前は東京でのマイクロソフト製品の推進などを手掛けてきました。転職直前の役職は MS 事業部の事業部長です。そのような経緯から、Office 365 にも取り組むことになったわけです。

――　御社の Office 365 ビジネスの特長は。

吉田　Office 365 の導入支援を積極的に行うと共に、「Taskalcloud (タスカルクルー)」という次世代テンプレート型クラウド サービスも提供していることです。Taskalcloud の開発は、私が当社に入社した直後の 2014 年 4 月から開始しており、最初のバージョンは 2014 年 11 月に発表しています。

Taskalcloud の特長と顧客からの評価

――　Taskalcloud とはどのようなサービスですか。

橋澤　Office 365 は最近かなり使いやすくなりましたが、それでも日本企業にとって不足している機能があります。このような機能を補完しつつ、IT リテラシーがそれほど高くない人でも直感的に使えるようにするのが、Taskalcloud です。Office 365 の Microsoft SharePoint Online をベースに開発しており、ポータル サイトやスケジュール管理、組織改装アドレス、ワークフロー管理などの機能を提供しています。現在はバージョン 2 を開発しており、これは Microsoft Azure 上で動くようになります。

――　Office 365 のビジネスを手掛け始めた当初から、このようなサービスを開発しようと考えた理由は。

吉田　当社のような規模の会社が Office 365 のライセンスだけを提案しても、他の大手に顧客が流れてしまいます。また当社はもともと受託開発を行っていた会社であり、大手 SIer から仕事を依頼されることが多かったため、エンド ユーザーとの直接の接点もあまりありません。そこで「より簡単に使えるテンプレート」という、他社にはない特長を打ち出す必要があると考えました。

――　お客様のご評価は？

橋澤　お客様の中にもさまざまな IT リテラシーの方がいらっしゃいます。IT リテラシーの高い方は、Microsoft Outlook を使って自力で活用できますが、そうでない人はシンプルに使いたいと考えています。Taskalcloud は見た目がシンプルで、少ない操作で使えるため、このようなユーザーに向いています。しかもデータは統合されているため、異なる IT リテラシーのユーザーが混在していても、同じデータを利用できます。このような使い分けが簡単にできる点が評価されているようです。

吉田　お客様に合わせたカスタマイズも行っています。多少の変更であれば、柔軟に対応するようにしています。

――　導入支援も手掛けているということですが、具体的にはどのようなことを行っていますか。

橋澤　Office 365 を導入して最初に使うのはメールです。そのためには Office 365 へのユーザー登録やメール移行が必要ですが、この作業を代行しています。当社の導入支援の最大の特長は、必要な作業の多くを自動化していることです。これによって品質を担保しながらコストを下げる一方で、対応スピードは上げています。作業に必要な期間は、ドメインがすぐに取得できるか否かや、ユーザー数によって左右されますが、必要事項さえ決めていただければ当社内の作業は、最短 2 日で完了します。これも他社との大きな違いだと思います。ただし、当社だけで作業が完結しない場合には、トータルのリード タイムがもう少し長くなる可能性もあります。

CSP パートナーになったことで得られたメリット

――　DIS の CSP パートナーになったのはいつごろですか。

吉田　2015 年 7 月です。DIS からマイクロソフト ビジネスを一緒にやりましょうとお声掛けいただき、2015 年 3 月に DIS 主催の Office 365 協業パートナー説明会に参加したうえで、CSP パートナーになることを決めました。ただし、DIS とのお付き合いは 2014 年 4 月まで遡ります。Taskalcloud の開発を始めるにあたって Office 365 のライセンスが必要になったのですが、この時に DIS に相談したことで、お付き合いが始まりました。

――　DIS のパートナーになったことで良かったことは？

橋澤　担当者のレスポンスがよく、親身になって接してくださるので、とても助かっています。また、それまでは「仕入れて売る」とう商売をやったことがなく、ハードウェアの取り扱いもなかったのですが、DIS をパートナーにすることでこの種のビジネスも手掛けられるようになりました。DIS の他のパートナー経由で Office 365 を販売したお客様に対して、技術サポートをしてほしいというお話をいただくこともあります。ビジネスの幅は間違いなく広がっています。

――　CSP の月額販売にもメリットはありますか。

吉田　月額での販売はやはり売りやすく、ライセンスの追加も容易です。世の中の多くのサービスは月額なので、これらと同じ支払いサイクルに乗せられるのは、大きなメリットだと思います。特に中小企業のお客様は、月額課金を歓迎してくださるケースが多いようです。

橋澤　「いつでもやめられる」というのも、導入のハードルを下げています。ただ、これまで「増やしてほしい」という話は何度もいただきましたが、「減らしてほしい」という話はほとんどありません。CSP は当社のような規模の会社に、大きなチャンスをもたらします。大手と同じ売り方をしても勝てませんが、導入支援や Taskalcloud と組み合わせた差別化が月額課金の中で行いやすくなっているからです。

――　Office 365 の販売ライセンス数は？

吉田　これまで 1,500 ライセンスを販売しましたが、そのほとんどは今年に入ってからの数字です。当社は名古屋に本社がありますが、新規引き合いの多くは名古屋でのものです。東京では、Office 365 を既に導入しており、今後 SharePoint 活用を本格化するために Taskalcloud を導入したい、というケースが増えています。Taskalcloud の販売も最近になって伸び始めており、累計で約 1,000 ライセンスになっています。

橋澤　これまでコツコツやってきた結果が、去年から今年にかけて出てきたのだと思います。

吉田　Office 365 の取り扱いや Taskalcloud の開発は、本業である受託開発にもいい影響をもたらしています。当社は在庫管理や物流管理などの業務系システムの開発に強みを持っていますが、最近では Taskalcloud の開発ノウハウを活用し、Azure 上での受託開発も行っています。当社のように Office 365 や Azure の活用ノウハウを持ちながら、名古屋の地元に根づいたビジネスを行っている会社は、お客様から重宝がられます。以前は大手 SIer の下に入る形で開発に参加することが多かったのですが、最近ではお客様と直接取り引きするケースも増えています。もちろん単価も上がっています。

――　商流の川上にシフトできるようになったわけですね。

吉田　お客様との間に他の会社が入るケースでも、単価を上げやすくなっています。名古屋で Office 365 や Azure を扱えるところはまだ限られているため、お客様から指名されることが増えたからです。

今後のビジネス戦略

――　最後に、今後のビジネス戦略についてお聞かせください。

橋澤　Office 365 と Azure のビジネスは、現在ではまだ全体の 20 ～ 25% 程度ですが、この割合をさらに増やしていきたいと考えています。拡大のための戦略としては、既にお付き合いのあるお客様を大切にしながら、幅広い提案を行うというアプローチを採っていきます。Taskalcloud も Azure 上で動くようになったので、Azure との連携も強化していきます。

――　具体的には。

橋澤　たとえば、LINE から Office 365 に予約を入れられる機能を Taskalcloud に盛り込むことを考えています。また Azure の Face API を活用し、タブレットのカメラで生体認証を行うことも検討しています。Azure には他にもさまざまな機能があるので、これらを活用することで、サービスの幅を広げられるはずです。

吉田　Office 365 の CSP に合わせて、Taskalcloud の月額販売も開始しました。Taskalcloud の機能をバラ売りするという取り組みも始めており、カスタマイズにも積極的に対応しています。お客様からは、サービスに会社を合わせるのではなく、サービスを会社に合わせたいというご要望をいただくことが増えています。このようなニーズに柔軟に対応できる存在になりたいと考えています。

Today in this blog post we discuss one of my articles related to Consume Web API in Winform for File Handling by Syed Shanu.

In this article I explain in detail how to consume Web APIs in Windows Forms for uploading a file to a web server, get the list of file information from the server folder, and download the file from the server using a C# Windows application.

In some cases, we need to upload, download, and to get file information from a web server to our local client application. This article will help developers to consume Web APIs from WinForms using C# code for file handling.

This article explains in detail creating two applications: one for Web API project and one WinForm application.

In Web API project, we create a Controller for uploading files to a web server and to return the file details list with File Name, File Path and File Length.

From a WinForm application, the user can upload the files to the web server using the MultipartFormDataContent, display the file information to DataGridView with File name, File path and length from the web server. Download the file from a web server to the local client WinForms root folder using WebClient.

Bei Microsoft beschäftigen wir uns schon seit einigen Jahren mit den Potenzialen in diesem Bereich, doch in letzter Zeit nimmt die Digitalisierung im Sport richtig Fahrt auf.

Die Fußballbundesligisten sind unter deutschen Sportvereinen wohl am bekanntesten und populärsten – und auch international keine Unbekannten. Digitale Technologien informieren Fans von überall aus über die Mannschaft und den Verein. Der Champions League Sieger Real Madrid um den deutschen Nationalspieler Toni Kroos etwa vernetzt weltweit 450 Millionen Fans.

Digital auf einem Spitzenplatz: der HSV

In Deutschland nimmt der Hamburger SV eine Vorreiterrolle in der digitalen Transformation im Sport ein. Der norddeutsche Traditionsclub startete wie viele andere Vereine vor einigen Jahren damit, moderne Technologien unabhängig voneinander an immer mehr Stellen im Verein einzuführen. Richtungsweisend war allerdings dann die strategische Entscheidung der Vereinsverantwortlichen, die Vielzahl der nebeneinander existierenden Lösungen zugunsten einer einheitlichen abzulösen und so die Prozesse zu verschlanken. Zuvor arbeitete der HSV mit rund 50 verschiedenen Datentöpfen, die teilweise im Verein und teilweise bei externen Anbietern lagen. Hierbei den Überblick über die Daten und Kundenbeziehungen zu behalten, war nahezu unmöglich. Das sagt auch Oliver Poppelbaum, Direktor Vertrieb bei der HSV Fußball AG, mit dem ich darüber u.a. auch auf der Social Media Week in Hamburg diskutierte. Der HSV zeigt beispielhaft, dass die Digitalisierung gelingt, wenn sie ganzheitlich angegangen wird und alle an einem Strang ziehen.
