Here’s one of the awesome new things coming your way with the launch of Xbox One: With Skype for Xbox One you’ll be able to enjoy Xbox games, apps and live TV with friends and family anywhere, as if they were right there in the living room with you.
Think about it. You’ll be able to watch football games or your favorite comedy shows with loved ones around the world, play your favorite games with them, and bring far-flung friends and family together to enjoy entertainment on holidays and birthdays.
You’ll also look sharper than ever, because Skype for Xbox One will use the new Kinect camera and your broadband connection to send one-to-one Skype video calls in full 1080p HD resolution (providing you have the right broadband speeds). And because the camera has a wide-angle field of view, everyone can sit and chat comfortably.
That’s not all. The audio quality will be top notch, because the new Kinect microphones are designed to block out sound from the TV and focus just on your voice. And you won’t have to lift a finger to make or receive a call. Just say: “Xbox, Skype Mom!” and Skype will do the rest.
