Hey, Scripting Guy! Answer Use the Get-VM cmdlet and filter on the State property:

Get-VM | Where { $_.State -eq 'Running' }

Or if you need to check a remote computer:

Get-VM -computername RemoteHyperVServer | Where { $_.State -eq 'Running' }\
