Once people use OneNote, they’re hooked. But the fresh, clean look of the OneNote app for Windows 8 can throw seasoned OneNote users off their uber-organized course. With that in mind, the OneNote team has posted a list of tips and tricks to help people get off to a running start with the new app.
“The OneNote app looks and feels very different from other versions of OneNote,” said OneNote Program Manager Omeed Chandra in a post on the OneNote Blog. It’s true; search is now part of the charms bar, and the menus and tools are now found in the contextual app bar and radial dial. “The new Windows is designed to avoid distracting you with commands you don't need, but all that change can be a little intimidating at first,” said Chandra.
These small user adjustments come with great payoffs. The interface works using either a mouse, or touch and mobile screens. And the OneNote app for Windows 8 lets you take notes that save to the cloud – making your notes available where you need them, when you need them. So while the OneNote Windows 8 app brings change, Chandra says not to fear. Just take a look at the tips in this post and you’ll become more efficient and more organized – everywhere you go.
