I personally have been enjoying the new IE ads that we have released in the last year or so.  I have IE 10 loaded, and if you haven’t used it since IE6 or IE7 days, you really need to try IE 10 (only available on Windows 7/8) out.

Over the weekend, my co-workers were discussing about Internet Explorer (IE) related crashes they were seeing.

I spent a few years helping Premier customers get IE deployed and solve their deployment problems.  In addition to troubleshooting IE group policies and crashes/hangs/high cpu’s/memory leaks/connectivity issues.

With that said, it’s nice to have a guide and two Fix It’s available for anyone experiencing issues with IE:

If that doesn’t help, start out with Process Explorer looking for 3rd party modules loading.

TIP:  Upgrade the active-x controls that you have loaded, it will do wonders.

TIP 2:  Look for the IE hotfixes as I have described them here:

List of Internet Explorer 9 related hotfixes post RTM for Internet Explorer 9 RTM.

Note:  I will try to compile a list for “Internet Explorer 8” in the next couple of weeks.  Maybe even move it to a wiki so anyone could update it.

If that doesn’t help, look into getting a user mode dump with ProcDump, DebugDiag or Adplus.  And get that case open with CSS.
