HOTFIX: "Failed to install boot image" error message when a task sequence doesn't deploy prestaged installation media in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Here’s a new ConfigMgr 2007 hotfix we just published. This addresses an issue where in a specific scenario, when the task sequence is run the operating system is not installed and the whole task sequence is unsuccessful. You will also see the following error message in the Smsts.log file:

Failed to install boot image.
Unspecified error (Error: 80004005; Source: Windows)
