Build Tour 2017 & Mission Mars: Two global Microsoft training events

Microsoft is holding two technical training events in June 2017: Build Tour 2017 and Mission Mars. These global seminars will help you learn the latest Microsoft technologies from Microsoft program managers, developers, and technical evangelists.

And the best part is that they are FREE!

Microsoft Build TourBuild Tour 2017

The Microsoft Build Tour is hitting the road again this year. As in previous years, the event will feature a keynote address that highlights the best of Build 2017 as well as hands-on sessions and demos. The tour overview provides a full description of the event:

The Microsoft Build Tour brings the best of Microsoft Build right to you. Developers building Line of Business or consumer applications using Cloud or traditional desktop technologies will hear firsthand from Microsoft experts about the latest technical news and updates from the Microsoft Build conference. After the keynote, we’ll host a full day of practical sessions covering recently released Cloud and Windows technologies you can use today in your own applications. Stay another day, in most cities, and code with Microsoft developers at the Microsoft Build Tour hackfest – space is limited. And lastly, get a hands-on demo of Microsoft Mixed Reality new immersive headsets coming to market, as well as HoloLens.

This year the tour focuses on Europe, Asia and Australia. It will visit the following cities: Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, Munich,  Helsinki, Warsaw, Hyderabad, and Sydney.

Mission Mars

Who says learning has to be boring? Microsoft has devised a fun, challenge-packed day with a space theme! You will use the latest Microsoft tools and services to help the crew on Mars get much-needed supplies or rescue them when they get into trouble. There are several different training sessions available in multiple different cities.

Operation: Remote Resupply uses Xamarin Forms with Microsoft Azure services to help resupply the crew on the red planet. These fun sessions occur in Portugal and Sweden.

Operation: Earth Mars Bridge uses Azure IoT Hub, Azure Functions, and Cognitive Services to “recover the crew and get humanity’s progress back on track”. This event takes place is multiple countries and cities: Czech Republic; Cologne, Germany; Israel; Kyiv, Ukraine; Lviv, Ukraine; Milan, Italy; Montreal, Canada; Pune, India; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Toronto, Canada; and Vancouver, Canada.

A third session named Operation M.A.X. has also been announced but no dates have been set.
