Fluffy Fairy Games is a German mobile gaming studio committed to designing and developing the industry’s most player-oriented games. The company’s first project, Idle Miner Tycoon, is an exciting mobile simulation game that takes players on a gripping adventure into the world of gemstones and precious metals. In the game, players slip into the role of industrial tycoon and are tasked with creating efficient production chains that will help them expand their modest holdings into a bona fide mining empire. The game is designed with an automated workflow, also known as an ‘idle game’, and allows players to hire mining production managers and instruct them to continue in-game operations even when the user is not actively logged in and playing.
Released in July of 2016, Idle Miner Tycoon has been an instant hit with gamers and has already been downloaded over three million times. According to Co-Founder Janosch Sadowski, Idle Miner’s success can be attributed to the committed and passionate members of his team: “We want to become the biggest fish in the ocean of mobile gaming. Fluffy Fairy is a member of Microsoft’s BizSpark program and used a variety of Azure tools to design and develop Idle Miner Tycoon, Sadowski says. The game leverages Blob Storage to automatically upload updates and new builds to the network, while Azure VM’s are used in the developing process because of their unique infrastructure. Additionally, SQL database was utilized for backend development and Web Apps for the creation of the corporate and product domains.

It guarantees an effective working process and has allowed us to quickly produce updates that our users request. Without the support of Azure, our success may not have been possible.”
