The script is available for download from https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com//How-to-configure-system-587abdbb.  You can also use  Microsoft Script Browser for Windows PowerShell ISE to download the sample with one button click from within your scripting environment. 

This xWindowsRestore DSC Module includes 2 DSC resources, xSystemRestore resource can configure system restore and xSystemRestorePoint resource can create or remove a restore point in Windows.

This module includes 2 DSC resources as follows:

xSystemRestore Enable or disable system restore with specified system drive.

xSystemRestorePoint simple resource for creating and removing system Checkpoint.

System Restore is a feature of Windows that allows you to take Windows back to an earlier date time. It's a way to undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos. IT admins can use PowerShell DSC to configure system restore feature to each machine and create system restore points for a specified time from the security perspective.
