Wow a great 20 miles last weekend, and felt strong. Only had one small hiccup, I thought the water fountains on my route were year around. As it turns out they are not and even though I was out of water and Gatorade, I was able to get back to my car around mile 18. At my car I had some spare water and Gatorade, refueled and knocked out the last two miles. Did I wantt o stop, yes I did, but was able to push through and make sure I finished. Also trust me this was way better than the 20 miles I did on the treadmill 2 years ago…ick. Very fun run and even better with friends.
Take a look at the Garmin:
So I have hit my favorite part of the training, the taper, where mileage starts to reduce and all about keeping the legs loose and ready to go. So ready for the Christmas and New Years (next week I will tell you something I did, that sounded good at the time) and Disney
