4 Application Creation in ConfigMgr for MSI Installs
This section contains instructions for creating (installing) applications in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) using the new Application model for System Center 2012. The section covers standard applications using single line MSI-based install commands. For virtualized application creation please refer to section 3Application Creation in ConfigMgr for App-V and, for standard applications installed using installation scripts see, section 5Application Creation in ConfigMgr for Script Installs.
After following the directions in this section the administrator will also need to distribute and deploy the applications for testing purposes. Performance of those tasks is detailed in section 6 ConfigMgr Application Property Modifications.
