If you haven’t been keeping up with the current promotion announcements – don’t let these two pass you by! Microsoft has just announced the fall lineup of subsidy rebate promotions for customers:
- Big Easy 9
- Cloud Easy Re-launch
Q: What is a Subsidy Rebate Promotion?
A: Our subsidy rebate promotions are financial incentives, directed toward customers to help encourage and influence their investment in targeted Microsoft technologies. The incentive itself is a percentage of the purchase price, returned to the customer in the form of a check – but with a catch. The check is actually made out to the PARTNER and can be used by the customer to pay for future software or services. I love this type of promotion, the customer gets a discount on their software, the partner gets to charge for the full value of their services, and Microsoft gets to close another software deal – Win! Win! Win! How often does that happen!?!
Q: What are the specifics around the Big Easy 9?
A: The rules around Big Easy 9 are very similar to previous Big Easy promotions:
- Promotion window: Oct 1st, 2012 thru Dec 31st, 2012
- Redemption request must be submitted within 30 days of the order
- Products covered and payout schedule:
- These are some of the BIGGEST rebates we’ve ever offered in the Big Easy.
- Note that just buying the license through volume licensing provides a lower rebate rate than purchasing the license and Software Assurance. I want to highlight that by selling the Office license, no rebate is available; but selling the Office license with Software Assurance there is a rebate. But that only makes sense! We all know another version of Office will be available within months! YOU SHOULD NOT SELL A SINGLE COPY OF OFFICE WITHOUT SOFTWARE ASSURANCE! The Home Use, eLearning, and Upgrade Production Rights are way too valuable.

Q: What are the specifics around the Cloud Easy Re-launch?
A: Like the previous Cloud Easy promotion:
- Promotion window: Oct 1st, 2012 thru Dec 31st, 2012
- Redemption request must be submitted within 30 days of the order
- The subsidy amount is based on the first year of subscriptions fees:
